BBC Guild Rules
Our goal is to provide a drama-free, stable, fun and friendly atmosphere for serious traders!
NO WTS/WTB
No WTS/WTB in guild chat or discord.
We have two of the very best (and most expensive) kiosks in the game, make use of them! Every sale on the kiosk helps us cover the cost of renting it. Asking for people to post specific item(s) you need to the guild store is allowed, along with WTB/WTS Crowns, AP, Telvar and Writ Vouchers. WTT is fine for collectibles like style pages during an event.
Also, please do not ask other members to pull listed items and sell direct at a lower price.
DUES & MINIMUMS: NO
EXPECTATIONS: YES
The BBC Guilds have never had fixed fees or mandatory minimums but we do have expectations that every member respect the extreme costs of our bids and **will do their best to help cover their “fair share”** (1/500th of the bid). Each week, the lowest contributors will be removed to make room for new members. Our track record of providing a great kiosk every week is due to the amazing support our members provide.
“Why did you kick me without warning?!?”
The BBC publishes rich data every week at https://bbcguild.com/ranks. Those at the bottom of the rankings (if they aren’t a brand new member) are at risk of removal. We’re all adults here. The guild made its needs clear in the guild application. We are not going to chase folks down to ask them to honor their commitment.
That said, we base our decisions primarily on a 30 day history (not one low week) and anyone removed for low contributions is welcome to rejoin when they can be more active, as long as it isn’t a chronic thing.
AVOID HOT-BUTTON TOPICS
Please steer clear of controversial topics such as real-life religion or politics. This rule is strictly enforced and breaking it comes with a serious risk of removal from the guild.
EVERYONE SHOULD FEEL WELCOME
Racism, Misogyny, Homophobia, Transphobia, Xenophobia, bashing anyone for their religious or political beliefs is 100% not tolerated here and WILL result in removal from the guild. There are plenty of platforms to have those conversations, our *video game guild* is not one of them. If you see any member exhibiting these behaviors, please contact the GM or an officer immediately.
THE BBC OF IT ALL
We created our first BBC Guild in 2008, long before that acronym became ubiquitous for something else. While we do lean into the joke, sexually EXPLICIT content of any type is forbidden in our chats. Creative innuendo is good, but there is a line.
NO NAMING & SHAMING / PERSONAL ATTACKS
Please do not speak negatively of other players, members, guilds or ZOS employees in our guild chat. If you have an issue with someone in the guild, contact guild leadership privately. If no officers are online, please take screenshots and provide to an officer in Discord or by e-mailing BBCGuild@gmail.com.
DO NOT PROMOTE OTHER GUILDS
Please do not recruit for or promote any other ESO guilds in BBC’s guild chat or Discord or promote The BBC in another other guild’s chat.
DO NOT PROMOTE TABLES/MUNDUS/TARGET DUMMIES IN OTHER HOUSES
The BBC Guild house was built to offer all of these services to our members. You are welcome to invite people to your house for any other reason.
BBC OFFICERS HAVE THE FINAL SAY
Our guild chat is not a free speech zone. We are a private club and if you are unable to abide by our rules, there are plenty of other guilds out there. BBC Officers have the final word on what is or isn’t acceptable.
YOUR DISCORD NAME (OR BBC SERVER NICKNAME) MUST MATCH YOUR ESO @Name
Discord validation does not occur until you (or a BBC Officer) ensures your game & Discord name matches *precisely*. Changing your server nickname after joining may result in loss of Discord permissions until fixed.
COMMUNICATE ESO @NAME CHANGES
It is important, if you ever change your in-game @name, that you alert the GM or an officer. An @name change wipes all of your guild data and could result in an accidental removal for low contributions.
You are not required to tell use your previous @name if you would prefer not to (but it’s helpful).
VACATIONS / EMERGENCIES (BREAKS FROM THE GAME)
For members in good standing, we will hold your slot in the guild for up to 30 days. Please notify an officer of an upcoming absence of more than 7 days.
——————————————
TL;DR
– Don’t be a D*ck
– Have fun!
– Respect other players
– Do your part to help with our bids
THANK YOU for being a member of one of ESO’s longest running and most successful guilds. <3
