Hello Friends and Welcome to the BBC’s ESO ALCHEMY LEVELING GUIDE!

🌾 🌼 🌸 🌺πŸͺ»πŸͺ·πŸŒΉπŸŒ»πŸ₯€πŸŒ·

In this Guide I am going to break down, step-by-step, how to not only level up alchemy from scratch, but also how to max out all the traits on the alchemy ingredients so that you will have increased chances of getting Alchemy Writs when doing your Daily Crafting Quests!

I have also included
πŸ’  Information about obtaining the Alchemy crafting skill line
πŸ’  Information about Alchemy Skill points
πŸ’  A Full shopping list
πŸ’  Step-by-Step crafting list

GETTING STARTED

In order to be able to get started with Alchemy you have to unlock the ability by completing a very easy quest line. I personally recommend doing this in Vivec City, Vvardenfell as the crafting tables are very close together, however you can pick this quest up in all major cities.

The first thing you need to do is locate a Crafting Daily Job Board. This will give you a quest to talk to a Master Craft person to become certified in your chosen craft. You will need to do this for all 7 professions.

The Alchemy Craft person in Vivec City is Danel Telleno. When you talk to him he will ask you to go to the alchemy crafting table and craft a potion.

In order to do this quest you will need 1 Natural Water, 1 Luminous Russula, and 1 Water Hyacinth.

Upon crafting this potion you will see a pop up on your screen that will tell you that you have discovered the β€œRestore Health” Trait for these 2 ingredients.

After Turning in this quest to Danel Telleno ( or the Craft person in the city you chose to use ) you will then have the ability to take Daily crafting Quests for Alchemy and to craft anything you want with Alchemy!

ALCHEMY LEVEL VS. ALCHEMY TRAITS

Alchemy has two sides to it.
The Alchemy Level, and The Alchemy Traits.

Most folks think that levelling up your Alchemy to level 50 means you are done and good to go. This is partially true as 50 is the Maximum level you can achieve in Alchemy; however, it does not give you all the bonuses Alchemy has to offer.

If you were to do your Alchemy Crafting Daily each day, you would eventually get to level 50 in Alchemy.

This does not require you to spend any Skill points in Alchemy, nor does it require you learn more than a couple of traits to make the potions requested; however, you will not be able to craft potions for higher level characters and you will not really be able to make anything useful with this method. You will also be missing out of lots of nice rewards from the Alchemy Crafting Daily Coffers.

The Best thing you can do is to Max out ALL aspects of your Alchemy in order to be able to make any of the potions/poisons in the game, as well as to get the best rewards from the Alchemy Crafting Daily Coffers.

You can see here an example of what it looks like if you do not put any skill points into your Alchemy. You are severely limited to what materials you are able to use!

All of your ingredients will also be blank – so you will not know which ones will combine together to actually make a potion!

ALCHEMY SKILLS

Once you have opened the Alchemy skill line you will see that there are 6 skills you can put points into.

I HIGHLY recommend maxing out all of these skills eventually on every character you have, even if that character does not do any other crafting as it is a very helpful skill line!

🌾 🌼 🌸 🌺πŸͺ»πŸͺ·πŸŒΉπŸŒ»πŸ₯€πŸŒ·

You will need 5 skill points available to follow this guide.

🌾 🌼 🌸 🌺πŸͺ»πŸͺ·πŸŒΉπŸŒ»πŸ₯€πŸŒ·

πŸ’  SOLVENT PROFICIENCY – Requires 8 skill points to max – allows you to make higher level potions/poisons. This is where we will be spending our 5 points in this guide.

πŸ’  KEENEYE REAGENTS – Requires 3 skill points to max – makes Herbs and Fungi Glow in the world so they are easier to see when farming. Placing at least one point in this skill will make it significantly easier to find the ingredients you will need to make all of your Potions and Poisons!

πŸ’  MEDICINAL USE – Requires 3 skill points to max – makes potions last longer when you use them

πŸ’  CHEMISTRY – Requires 3 skill points to max – gives you more items per craft. I recommend that you max this out before all other skills in this skill line, aside from Solvent Proficiency, as you will get better use of all your ingredients!

πŸ’  LABORATORY USE – Requires 1 skill point to max – allows you to craft more complicated potions/poisons that use 3 ingredients instead of two

πŸ’  SNAKE BLOOD – Requires 3 skill points to max – reduces the negative effect that some potions have when you drink them

TIME TO GO SHOPPING… OR … FARMING!

Ok – before we settle into the crafting station and craft up all the potions we need to max out our Alchemy level AND unlock all the ingredient’s traits we need to gather up supplies!

Personally, I like to farm these out myself so the gold cost is minimized; however, in this guide we try to make use of the fewest ingredients possible to get everything maxed out so even if you decide to go and buy everything it shouldn’t cost too much.

In the Part One of the Step-by-Step I will be using Natural Water to make all of the potions needed to learn all of the traits. This is so that even a level 1 character can follow this guide. If you are a seasoned player and want to follow along using higher level water you can, but keep in mind to do so you will need more than 5 skill points available to do this.

In the second part of the guide you will need other types of water in order to max out your alchemy to level 50. They are all listed in the Shopping list below.

To complete this guide you will need the following ingredients; however, I suggest you just round up every Herb and Fungi to 10 in case you accidentally misclick and make an inert potion by mistake.

I have already rounded up the Water to account for any misclicks.

PART 2

You should now have all traits learned for each ingredient, so now we will focus on getting your Alchemy to level 50

πŸ’  Place your first Skill point into SOLVENT PROFICIENCY
πŸ’  In the Alchemy table add your CLEAR WATER
πŸ’  Craft 20 potions using Blessed Thistle and Dragonthorn

πŸ’  Place your second Skill point into SOLVENT PROFICIENCY
πŸ’  In the Alchemy table add your PRISTINE WATER
πŸ’  Craft 40 potions using Blessed Thistle and Dragonthorn

πŸ’  Place your third Skill point into SOLVENT PROFICIENCY
πŸ’  In the Alchemy table add your CLEANSED WATER
πŸ’  Craft 45 potions using Blessed Thistle and Dragonthorn

πŸ’  Place your forth Skill point into SOLVENT PROFICIENCY
πŸ’  In the Alchemy table add your FILTERED WATER
πŸ’  Craft 60 potions using Blessed Thistle and Dragonthorn

πŸ’  Place your fifth Skill point into SOLVENT PROFICIENCY
πŸ’  In the Alchemy table add your PURIFIED WATER
πŸ’  Craft 80 potions using Blessed Thistle and Dragonthorn

πŸ’  PLEASE NOTE: You may not need to craft all 80 potions in this step to get to level 50 as we crafted quite a bunch learning all the traits. I suggest making this last step in groups of 10 or 20 so that you can make less if you do not need the full 80.

CONGRATULATIONS you are now Level 50 in Alchemy and have ALL the traits discovered!

Now you can focus on maxing out the rest of the Skill Points in the Skill line and Doing your Daily Alchemy Crafting Quests to receive the boost to the items inside the Coffers!
