Hello and Welcome to BBC’S ESO NIGHT MARKET GUIDE!

The Night Market launches for the very first time on April 29th, 2026, and runs until June 17th, 2026.

It features many new activities, quests, achievements, and even a New FREE Player House!

The Devs have confirmed that the Night Market will return in the future, so do not stress about getting everything done by June 17th – you will be able to pick right back up where you left off next time the Night Market comes around.

Before we get started with the full Guide below, there is one VERY IMPORTANT thing to note:

The Opening Quest chain of the Night Market is NOT REPEATABLE!

Take your time! Do not skip through the Dialog as you will not be able to go through it all again on other characters.

Okay! With all of that out of the way, let’s jump right into BBC’s ESO NIGHT MARKET GUIDE!

In this guide, we are going to cover information about the following topics:

  • Night Market Basics
  • Factions, Relics, & Their Unique Rewards
  • Bosses & Encounters
  • New Player House

FIRST UP IN THE BBC’S ESO NIGHT MARKET GUIDE:

THE NIGHT MARKET BASICS

The Night Market is a brand-new area found in Fargrave. It will not be available all the time as this event comes and goes throughout the year.

To get started with your journey into The Night Market, you begin by opening up the Crown Store and taking the quest “Those who would Rule.” This quest is going to lead you to find The Curator within the Shambles in Fargrave.

The Starlit Plaza Wayshrine is the closest Wayshrine to the location of the Night Market portal.

If you have never been to Fargrave before, you will need to zoom all the way out on your map and click on Fargrave in the bottom right side of the Aurbis.

Once you have started the quest to find The Curator and you have travelled to Fargrave to find him, you will have the chance to go through his dialogue options. THIS PART IS NOT REPEATABLE. Be sure to take your time and explore all the information he has to tell you about The Night Market.

Next, head inside the portal located right behind The Curator, and you will find yourself in The Starlit Plaza. The Curator will also be right inside, and he will give you your next quest. He will send you to meet with the 3 Factions of The Night Market. The Glittering Goad, The Thousand Eyes, and The Ruckus.

This quest will take you all over the Starlit Plaza to meet the leaders of the 3 factions. Personally, I really enjoyed this part of the quest as there were many interesting things to see, NPCs to meet, great ideas for those that like to do housing builds in ESO, and even a little puppy you can actually pet!

Finishing out the quest line for The Curator will lead you to choosing the Faction you are going to side with for this iteration of The Night Market. BE SURE YOU THINK ABOUT THIS BEFORE CHOOSING, as you will only be able to do this one time each time The Night Market is active, and it is ACCOUNT-WIDE, meaning that all characters on your account will be part of the same Faction.

As soon as you have selected and officially joined your new Faction, you will be given the Keys to your New Player Home: The Night’s Den.

BE AWARE: The Night Market is meant to be focused on Fighting and less on Story. It is purposely tuned to a Higher difficulty, and it is HIGHLY recommended that you join a group to do the majority of things The Night Market has to offer! The Mobs really like to use Crowd control as well, so be prepared to give your dodge roll skills a workout!

NEXT UP IN BBC’S ESO NIGHT MARKET GUIDE: FACTIONS, RELICS & THEIR UNIQUE REWARDS.

The Night Market has three Factions you can choose from: The Glittering Goad, The Thousand Eyes, and The Ruckus.

You will only be able to choose one each time The Night Market comes around, so it is very important you take a look at the differences BEFORE you make that choice.

Please Note: It does not matter what Faction you choose when it comes to grouping up, as you can still do all quests and most achievements together regardless of what Faction you choose. There are a few Achievements that are faction-specific, but that has more to do with the Favor you earn and nothing to do with grouping. We will talk more about Favor shortly.

The Faction you choose will also not prevent you from unlocking the bonus rooms in The Night’s Den Player House. You can complete the Achievements needed to unlock the 3 rooms regardless of which Faction you choose.

What is the difference between the Factions? Why would it matter which one you choose?

Each Faction is themed around a different concept lore-wise.

The Glittering Goad is all about that Gold! Completing quests and competing in The Night Market is just a means to an end to gather up a Massive stockpile of Gold coins, gems, and other Shiny treasures that would put any Dragon’s Horde to Shame. Their leader is Tachien, a Dremora with a flair for the dramatic! She made a name for herself auctioning off the wares that The Gilttering Goad retrieves.

The Thousand Eyes focus is on Information and Knowledge. They are dedicated explorers searching every nook and cranny for juicy details and secrets…that they promptly horde away for safekeeping! They are led by Molto, the Whisperer. He is a Daedrat that is older than the primordial spit! Molto’s Speaker, a Sea Elf named Melandir will convey everything that Molto whispers to her as you complete quests for The Thousand Eyes.

The Ruckus are the new kids in town. Led by Kharakhal Moon-Eye, a mortal who prefers to keep his story to himself, choosing instead to let people choose from the wild rumours about him to make their decision of what he is all about. The Ruckus is all about fighting to keep the place that they have carved out in The Night Market!

When choosing which faction is right for you, it is going to come down to the following differences that are locked by the Faction you choose. Everything not listed below can be earned from any faction.

  • Faction-themed furniture items, such as Banners
  • Dye Color: Gold for Glittering Goad, Green for Thousand Eyes, and Red for The Ruckus
  • Title: “Priceless” for Glittering Goad, “The Scurrying” for The Thousand Eyes, and “Firebrand” for The Ruckus
  • Head and Shoulders: 2 Piece Monster Set & Style Pages

Once you have your have selected your Faction, you are going to be doing quests and achievements to earn Favor for that faction. You will see this Faction Favor Tracker on your screen anytime you are in The Night Market ( or you can press F5 to bring up the full menu ). This Tracker displays where each Faction is currently sitting in the competition for the top spot!

There are many ways to earn favor.

When the Night Market concludes, each Faction will receive a reward depending on where they placed overall in the competition.

  • The First Place Faction will get a Golden Coffer of Rewards
  • Second Place will receive a Purple Coffer
  • Third Place will get a Blue coffer.

Each Coffer will contain Banners, a monster Set helm, and Shoulders, and some Gold. The Quality of the items will depend on where your Faction Placed. These rewards will be mailed to all players who joined a Faction during that Night Market event.

If at any time you want to see how much Favor you have, you can either press F5, or look at the bottom right-hand corner of your screen when you are in The Night Market map, or visit your Factions Merchant!

PLEASE NOTE: When you reach the required level of favor to purchase items from your Faction vendor, you buy the items for GOLD – your Favor is NOT CONSUMED to buy these items!

Each Faction has an achievement to gather up Splinters to build a Relic. Relics are the key to unlocking the deepest parts of The Night Market as well as unlocking the 3 bonus rooms in your new Player House!.

The Relics have a special feature they allow you to use to be able to traverse the 3 combat zones in The Night Market: Sorrow’s Friend, The Skittering Precinct, and the Parch.

SORROW’S FRIEND

Relic: Gleaming Lamp

Feature: Pushes back the Baleful Darkness that blocks your Path

THE SKITTERING PRECINCT

Relic: Egg of Arac

Feature: Let’s you Grapple to points to reach new areas

THE PARCH

Relic: Windglass

Feature: Let’s you pass through Sandstorms that block your path

You will need to gather 10 SPLINTERS to build each of the three relics.

  • Splinters 1 to 4 come from the 4 Brazen Bosses in each District. One from each Boss.
  • Splinters 5 & 6 come from the 2 Argent Bosses in each District. One from each Boss.
  • Splinter 7 comes from the Timed Group Event in each District called a Skirmish
  • Splinter 8 comes from a random weaker enemy in each District
  • Splinter 9 comes from your Faction Vendor, but you will need to have 500 favor before you can purchase it.
  • Splinter 10 comes from opening a Daily reward coffer that you receive after doing a Daily Quest.

To complete your Relics, you will need to roll up your sleeves, find a good group, and get out there and Fight!

THE NEXT ITEM WE WILL TALK ABOUT IN BBC’S ESO NIGHT MARKET GUIDE: BOSSES & ENCOUNTERS

There are 7 TYPES OF BOSSES in The Night Market

  • BRAZEN – Easy – 4 per District for a total of 12. They drop Relic Splinters. They must be killed to get the Argent bosses to spawn.
  • ARGENT – Medium – 2 per District for a total of 6. They drop Relic Splinters & Gilded Key Fragments. They must be killed to get the Key needed to access the 4-player dungeon to kill the Gilded Bosses.
  • GILDED – Hard – 1 per District for a total of 3. They drop Opulent Key Fragments.
  • CALAMITOUS – Very Hard – 1 per District for a total of 3. Think of these as roaming World Bosses. DO NOT try to solo these!
  • SKIRMISH – Hard – 1 per District for a total of 3. These are Multi-Stage public events. They are also not meant to be soloed! To check if these are active, press F5.
  • FACETED – Medium – Unlimited but Rare – They are special Bosses that glow green or gold and drop Treasure!
  • OPULENT – Very Hard – Only found in the Trial

Each District also has other encounters you can do.

DARING RACES

Time-Based Traversal Challenges. These are meant to test your travel skills as well as decision-making skills on which path to take to best complete the race!

ODDITIES

Environmental Puzzle Challenges: There are 11 total puzzles.

In Sorrow’s Friend District, there are 4 Puzzles that, if done back-to-back without leaving the district, will grant you an achievement called “Bright Minds.”

In the Skittering Precinct District, there are 4 puzzles that, if done back-to-back without leaving the district, will grant you an achievement called “Not Today. Spiders”

In The Parch District, there are 3 Puzzles that, if done back-to-back without leaving the district, will grant you an achievement called “Boulder Bouncer.”

DAILY QUESTS

Found in each district, many of them are repeatable.

These quests work differently from many other Daily quests in ESO.

  • They are discoverable as you wander around the districts, meaning that they do not show up on your map until you are close by.
  • There are no Delve or World boss dailies in The Night Market.
  • Many of them can be completed by stealthily avoiding mobs, so it’s a great time to practice sneaking!

There are 3 types of Daily quests: Faction Specific, Starlit Plaza kill quests, & Discoverable quests that can be found by interacting with notes, books, or dropped objects in each District.

Faction-specific quests may have you completing a race, a skirmish, an oddity, or killing a boss or two!

ALL ABOUT THAT LOOT!!

Bosses drop all kinds of loot depending on what type of boss it is. You can get Favor, Trophies & Busts, Curated item sets, Skill scrolls ( which grant you one-time use skills used in your quickslot ), Leads, Trade bars, Monster set pieces, and gold!

One other thing of Note about Loot is the recipe for the TONIC OF PORTENT FAVOR. This Tonic grants you 100% Faction favor boost from all enemy and District event sources for 30 Minutes.

To get this recipe, you need 3 Fragments – one from each Faction. You can only obtain the Fragment from the Faction you are a part of, so you will need to trade/buy the other 2 fragments, or wait until The Night Market comes around 2 more times to get them all.

This Tonic will stack with active experience scrolls/drinks as well as AP Bonuses and all Regular Food and Drinks.

And that, my friends, brings us to:

THE LAST ITEM WE WILL TALK ABOUT IN BBC’S ESO NIGHT MARKET GUIDE: NEW PLAYER HOUSE: THE NIGHT’S DEN

This Notable Player Home is a free ESO Player House located just to the Right of the Entrance of The Night Market as you come in the portal.

This home expands as you finish achievements and unlock your 3 Relics! Granting you 3 additional rooms to the already beautiful, large space.

The Night’s Den features:

  • 4 large alcoves
  • 2 side rooms with peek-a-boo windows to the front entrance way
  • A big pre-built Bar, & a Kitchen area complete with a Fireplace!

Up the stairs, you will find the 3 doors that will lead to the bonus rooms, as well as your own personal Vault!

This Vault features a pile of gold that will grow or shrink depending on how much gold you have in the bank, as well as a Bank Vault that can access BOTH your personal and Guild Banks!

To fully unlock every feature, you will need to earn 5000 Faction Favor and complete all 3 achievements to build the 3 relics.

This house comes semi-furnished with over 200 items already placed inside, including many beautiful multi-colored lights!
