In the Night Market, open from April 29 until June 17, you will pledge yourself to one of three unique factions. As you explore, battle, and complete quests in this new zone, your reputation with your faction of choice will increase, unlocking rewards and even helping your faction gain dominance over the others.
Three Factions, One Choice
With the opening of the Night Market, you will quickly discover that three powerful factions vie for control of this mysterious zone’s secrets and spoils. Once you have completed the event zone’s introductory quest, you will be given an opportunity to speak to and then choose between one of three factions:
Glittering Goad
The Glittering Goad sees power and wealth as intrinsically linked. They understand that everything comes at a cost. If you have an eye for business and the ambition to rise through the ranks of this meritocracy, maybe it’s time to make a deal with this faction? Reach out to their leader, the Dremora Tachien, and have a gift ready…
The Thousand Eyes
If curiosity drives you, the Thousand Eyes, led by the Daedrat known as Molto the Whisperer, value the acquisition of knowledge above all. While this faction might be made up of the small and insignificant, don’t let the size of this faction’s members fool you, they are many, and are as ruthless as any when it comes to their goals.
The Ruckus
The Ruckus respects physical strength and fighting prowess above all, and few are more fearsome and dangerous than their leader, the Senche-raht Kharakhal Moon-Eye. Ready to offer protection at a price and uniquely comprised of both mortals and Daedra, the Ruckus are set to shake things up in the Night Market and Fargrave.
Choose a faction that suits you!
While your faction choice is locked for the duration of the event zone (April 28 until June 17), don’t fret, you can choose a different faction the next time the Night Market is available (tentatively scheduled for late 2026).
Represent Your Faction
Once you have chosen your faction, you can continue your adventures in the Night Market and bring glory to those you have chosen to serve by earning Favor.
Favor
Almost every Night Market activity can earn you and your faction Favor. These can include:
- Completing story, side, and daily quests
- Completing Daring Races
- Completing Oddities
- Defeating zone monsters
- Completing skirmish events
- Defeating zone bosses, including Brazen, Argent, Gilded, Calamitous, and Opulent bosses
Explore, quest, and battle to earn Favor
No matter how you want to experience the Night Market, you’re bound to help your faction gain preeminence. While in zone, you can always see your current faction Favor on the bottom right of the screen.
Rewards
Favor signals your reputation within your faction, and as you progress and gain Favor, so does your standing increase with your patrons. As your reputation improves, you will unlock access to new and powerful items at your patron’s vendor, who can be found within the Starlit Plaza.
Once unlocked, faction vendor items cost gold to acquire and can include item sets, fragments of Night Market relics, furnishings, and even Monster Mask style pages.
Faction Dominance
Furthermore, as you earn Favor, you also increase the overall standings of your faction as a whole. All three compete for control over the Night Market, but only one faction can win. By the end of the event, the faction with the greatest total Favor shall be declared winners, and their supporters will receive bonus rewards:
- Winning faction: Legendary-quality faction monster set, two large and two small banner furnishings (for your faction), and gold.
- Second-place faction: Epic-quality faction monster set, two small banner furnishings (for your faction), and gold.
- Third-place faction: Epic-quality faction monster set and gold.
Earn item sets and more
You can see your faction’s total favor (and its standings compared to the other two factions) from the zone’s Activity HUD. Do your part!
Questing
Finally, your choice of faction also has an impact on the way you explore and quest within the Night Market. Depending on your faction, the order by which you progress through the zone’s main questline will be different. Note that your choice does not bar you from any quests, it simply impacts the order by which you progress.
