Check out some of the highlights from the recent Tavern community event in Germany.
On Friday, July 10, the #ESOFam swarmed Castle Ludwigstein in Hessia, Germany to come together to celebrate the game and its ever-growing community. Players, content creators, and members of the development team alike mixed and mingled, enjoyed fun activities, took part in a massive livestream, and shared their love of ESO and the people who make it great.
If you were unable to make it out to Germany for this year’s annual event, don’t worry, we’ve got some highlights for you!
Livestream
On Saturday, the team hosted a huge livestream, talking to players, developers, and special guests while sharing and showcasing the ongoing activities and meetups. Note that the livestream begins in German and switches to English around four and a half hours in.

As is tradition, attendees were once again invited to participate in a range of activities and fun at the event. Our guests learned how to paint Tamriel’s finest cheeses, drew up treasure maps, crafted necklaces, and customized wooden swords for Saturday’s castle siege!
Attendees enjoy arts and crafts
Before the battle could begin, of course, all our guests needed to refuel – and what better buff food is there than cake… or cheese… cheesecake!
Fine food and finer company!
After refueling, hundreds of brave warriors armed themselves with their (wooden) swords, and together they stormed the castle. On Sunday, falconer Ari from Skyhunters-frechen visited the Tavern and showcased his breathtaking birds of prey with a falconry show.
Action and adventure at the Tavern
As always, the ESO cosplay community made an appearance, showcasing their incredible costumes and sharing their stories with attendees.
